NFL Week 4 - Minnesota Vikings safety Lewis Cine underwent a compound fracture in his leg during the team's game in London against the New Orleans Saints. According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, Cine underwent a successful preparatory procedure that will precede an eventual necessary surgery. Cine will remain in London to start his recovery and is expected to miss an extended period.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Tennessee Titans rookie wide receiver Treylon Burks is expected to miss some time with what has officially been diagnosed as turf toe. Burks exited in the middle of Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts. Our data highlights that 50% of all players within our sample diagnosed with turf toe miss a minimum two weeks of action.

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones went down during the team's game against the Chicago Bears with an ankle injury. Jones did return for stretches, but it was only out of necessity as backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor sustained a concussion. Jones primarily handed of the ball, while the Giants also ran a good deal of wildcat.

According to NFL Network's Mike Garofolo, Jones is day-to-day, and the Giants will likely work out potential backup quarterbacks.

After exiting Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans with an ankle injury, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Taylor returned a clean report after multiple medical tests and has a chance to play in Indianapolis' Thursday night game against the Denver Broncos. Our data shows that ankle injuries tend to linger in running backs. More than half of all running backs have ankle injuries appear on injury report sheets for at least two weeks after initial diagnosis, regardless of whether they miss any additional time.

Denver Broncos linebacker Randy Gregory exited Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders with an apparent injury. While the Broncos are not out of the woods yet, ProFootballTalk reported that an MRI showed Gregory's ACL remained intact, potentially ruling out a season-ending injury. Tom Pelissero from NFL Network reported that Gregory will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery to clean up his meniscus, which will hold Gregory out an estimated two to six weeks.

According to ESPN's Ben Baby, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor has announced that tight end Drew Sample is effectively done for the year. Sample underwent surgery for a knee injury, and Taylor does not anticipate that Sample will play for the rest of the season.

The following players left their respective games with concussion symptoms and enter the league protocol:

Based on our current data, more than half of players miss at least one game once diagnosed with a concussion. However, just under 75% of players return from concussion protocol after one week.

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Jamison Crowder exited Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens with an ankle injury

According to ESPN’s Alaina Gatzenberg, Bills safety Jordan Poyer visited the X-ray room following the game but said he’ll be “alright” when asked about it. Poyer told media that he got the wind knocked out of him during the second interception of the afternoon.

Miami Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard will be reevaluated for a groin injury upon the Dolphins’ return to their facility Monday, but according to Sun Sentinel's Chris Perkins, Howard says the extra recovery time should allow him to play next week against the Jets.

New England Patriots tight end Jonnu Smith was ruled out of the remainder of Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers with an ankle injury, according to Boston Herald’s Andrew Callahan .

New York Jets tackle Max Mitchell was ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers with an undisclosed injury.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Noah Brown sustained a neck injury during Sunday’s contest, per Dallas Morning News’ Calvin Watkins .

Washington Commanders wide receiver Jahan Dotson exited Sunday’s game against the Cowboys with an ankle injury and did not return.

Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins suffered an ankle injury during the Bengals’ win Thursday night, but according to ESPN’s Ben Baby , the injury isn’t serious.

Minnesota Viking safety Harrison Smith appeared to injure his arm late in Minnesota’s win over the New Orleans Saints.

Wow... if Cam Heyward, Minkah Fitzpatrick, and Terrell Edmunds all miss next week, the Steelers defense could be... umm... interesting.

It's OK. The Bills don't have any receivers left, so they can just triple-cover Diggs and Knox. Especially since Crowder has a broken ankle and is out for the year.

Yeah, I know everyone's like "how could they go into the season with Trubisky" but seriously, the injuries on the Steelers defense are costing them waaay more wins than Trubisky ever would.

If those guys end up all missing next week, it's like $70M+ in value out injured. I don't care who you are, you're screwed with that kind of hit.

That's what a 3-and-out offense will do for your defense.

For the first time since the merger, the Steelers are 14+ points underdogs.

The "injury" to Harrison Smith was most likely him getting hit in the nuts. Source

Minnesota Viking safety Harrison Smith appeared to injure his arm late in Minnesota’s win over the New Orleans Saints.

That certainly makes the description sound like bragging!

There's been no injury update yet on Mailata, which is probably why it's not here, but the fact that he had an MRI on his shoulder Monday suggests it's not minor.

Obviously on Sunday it looked like they didn't miss a beat with Driscoll but that's because the game basically didn't have any passing thanks to the weather.
